Too Focused To See

People continue fill each day to its maximum. As the world appears to get smaller and move faster, lack of time to relax, think and plan may lead to poor choices, anxiety and incivility. Engaging Employees

Companies with a highly engaged workforce have 26% higher revenue per employee, according to a WorkUSA survey of over 13,000 respondents. This survey’s analysts linked engagement scores with business measures. Those measures may include sales, customer satisfaction, profit, absenteeism and turnover. There are many definitions for engaged employees. This survey defined engagement as the combination of commitment and line of sight. Manage Outcome with People

The number one reason managers do not hold people accountable is fear of harming the relationship. Ironically, the relationship is damaged by not bringing issues out in the open. Successful managers must believe in the people they manage. People cannot hide their true emotions. Many employers turn a blind eye to employees who are suspected of abusing alcohol, even when it may interfere with work performance. Each employee situation is unique.
